HouseHack: Loan Calc (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is published by Juwane Brown, REALTOR® — Epique Realty. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and the choices you have. The short version: every calculation runs on your device and works fully offline. We only ever receive (1) anonymous usage statistics you can switch off, and (2) information you deliberately choose to send us.
Your inputs, saved scenarios, and all mortgage math never leave your phone. There is no account and no sign-in. You can use the entire app with networking turned off, forever.
To understand which features are used and improve the app, we collect coarse, anonymous usage events through Google Firebase Analytics — for example, which screens are viewed and which buttons are tapped, plus the property type and loan type modeled (as fixed categories). We never send dollar amounts, interest rates, rents, property addresses, or any text you type as analytics. These events are not used to track you across other apps or websites, and the app uses no advertising identifier (IDFA). You can turn analytics off at any time in About → Privacy → “Share anonymous usage data.” Turning it off does not limit any calculator feature.
If you use “Ask a Question” or join the email checklist, we receive the information you submit — which may include your name, email address, phone number, your question, and (only if you leave the “include my numbers” option on) a summary of the scenario you built. This is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore) so that Juwane Brown can respond to you. If you are offline when you tap Send, your message is stored on your device and sent automatically the next time the app has a connection. We use this information only to reply to you and to provide the real-estate services you requested. Nothing is sent unless you tap Send.
We use Google Firebase (Analytics and Firestore) as our data processor for the analytics and message features described above. Google processes this data on our behalf under its own terms; see Firebase’s privacy information.
Anonymous analytics are retained according to our Firebase Analytics settings. Messages you send are retained for as long as needed to respond and to provide follow-up real-estate services, unless you ask us to delete them.
If you are a Colorado resident, the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA) gives you the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of the personal data we hold about you, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling. We do not sell personal data, do not use it for targeted advertising, and do not profile you, so those opt-outs do not apply here. To exercise any right — or to appeal a decision — email us at the address below and we will respond within the timeframes required by law. Residents of other states (for example, California) may have comparable rights, which we honor on the same basis.
The app is rated 4+ but is intended for adults evaluating home purchases. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
